At school he does three hours of sport a week.he's always hated sport .  when he can, he misses the lessons.  this term he's pretended that he's hurt his leg so he doesn't need to do any sports at school.  he even goes to the doctor every week to do special exercises for his leg . the problem is that he can't pretend that he's got a problem with his leg all year. he really doesn't know what to do, he's in such a mess .  he really feels so bad about this .  what should he do?

"good friends are like you don't always see them, but you know they're always there" - how do you understand this quote?

this quote says that real friends are always there, even if it's figuratively speaking, and in fact, your friend is now in another place, but you know that he is your good and faithful friend. in a difficult moment, he will not leave you, will not betray. he is always, even invisibly, near you and you can live with ease if you have such friends, that shine you even from afar. he won't be angry with you if you call him at 3: 00 in the morning and tell him you have a problem. he'll cheer you up and make you smile. and you know for sure that friends like him, kind, sympathetic, helpful, understanding, will always help you. they are always there, visibly or invisibly and so you are happy!  

this is how i understand this quote.

эта цитата говорит о том, что настоящие друзья всегда рядом, даже если это говорится в переносном смысле, и на самом деле, друг сейчас в другом месте, но ты знаешь, что он хороший и верный друг. в трудную минуту он тебя не бросит, не оставит и не предаст. он всегда, даже незримо, рядом и тебе от этого жить легко, если у тебя есть такие друзья, что светят тебе даже издалека. он не рассердится, если ты позвонишь ему в 3 часа ночи и скажешь, что у тебя проблема. он тебя подбодрит и даже развеселит. и ты знаешь, что такие друзья, как он добрые, отзывчивые, , понимающие, всегда выручат. они всегда рядом, зримо или незримо и от этого ты счастлив!   жить легко, если есть хорошие друзья. хороший друг в беде не бросит!   так я понимаю эту цитату.
