Смотря какое в предложение слово.если глагол в прошедшем времени,например, spoke,broke,ate ,тогда в "хвостике" берем  didn't.если в настоящем,например you speak french мы возьмем don't во второй части предложения.если are-aren't,aren't-are; can-can't,can't-can.есть еще does-doesn't,мы берем его когда глагол стоит с частичкой s-works,lives,lies.есть одно исключение-когда в главном приложении стоит am,то в хвостике мы берем aren't.в случае если вторая часть положительная,мы берем am: i   am  late,  aren’t  i? i   am  not busy,  am    i?
