a boy who worked in a shop in a country town sent by his master to the house of a rich customer with a valuable ring.
"don't open the box," the shopkeeper telled the boy. "if you lose the ring you will be punished." the boy's way was liing across a large park through which flowes a stream. as the boy was crossing the bridge which was throwing across the stream he foolishly took the ring out of the box as he wanted to have a look at it. while he was doing it the ring sliped out of his hand and fуll into the mud on the bank of the stream. he tryed to find it for a long time but couldn't do it.
at last darkness made him stop his search. "if my master learns it he will kill me," thought the poor boy. he was so frightened that he decided that he would never return home. he had to run away and he becomed a sailor.
he spendt many years in america and get very rich. but still he was dreaming that one day he would go back to his home country. and so he did. he bought the estate with the stream into which he droped the ring as a boy.
one day when he and his friend were walking along the bank of the stream, which caused him so much trouble, they came to the place where he losed the ring. he pushed his stick into the mud exclaiming, "i was absolutely sure that it was the exact spot where the ring lose." and when he pulled the stick out he saw the ring hanging at the end of it.
