Можно holidays. например, happy holidays (это пожелание хороших новогодних праздников). еще можно употребить слово vacation

1. were  we told about the international programs? 2. will cross-cultural aspects of teaching a foreign language be explained at the next lecture? 3. are the results of the toefl test still being discussed in my group? 4. is the new longman textbook catalogue   much spoken about? 5. was the message of the painting explained to the audience by i. glazunov himself? 6. is spanish widely spoken in south america? 7. are  the tourists invited to a bus tour of moscow? 8. was latin extensively studied at schools in the middle ages? 9. is knowledge of literature   fostered in the uk by schools, colleges and universities? 10. was this play admirably performed at the moscow art theatre?

Planet Earth is in danger.

 Once I wondered what would happen to our planet if darkness fell for a moment. In an instant, all living things will disappear. How scary!

And this thought was prompted by reasoning.

Nature helps us. She provides us with food, breathing air. But then why don't we value her. We need to learn how to help her. In factories and plants it is necessary to install filters. Do not hunt, do not cut down forests and do not trample plants.

How important it is to learn how to protect her gifts. It is necessary to build as many reserves and national parks as possible.

“Enter the nature of a friend, be a friend to her!” the motto of our day

So let us take care of what protects us and gives us nature for life!
