Now i want to tell you about my favorite places where i like to spend my free time. it's my native city volgograd. it’s the most beautiful city i have ever seen. i really enjoy the museum - panorama, where a guide tells everybody about stalingrad battle. it is very interesting and unforgettable. it's my first favorite place.  besides, i like riding a boat along the great russian river the volga. there is a famous mamaev kurgan and a beautiful embankment in volgograd.  secondly, an amazing embankment is the place where i can walk again and again. it is worth visiting. where do i like do shopping?   well, there are a few open-air markets in our town. sometimes i go to this market. it takes a very large territory on the outskirts of the city. i love to go there, because you can buy any goods you need there. market sells children's and adult's clothes, shoes until all ages and seasons, toys and household appliances, books and magazines, printers and computers. prices at this market are much smaller than in the shops in the center of the city. i like spending time with my friends there. it's fun and interesting.

7. I think it’s good for a society to be multi-cultural because it allows people to explore other people’s cultures, languages, and traditions. In Russia, the society is multi-cultural as well. We have many ethnic minorities, for example, Tatars, Bashkirs, Armenians, and others. Usually ethnic minorities peacefully live with each other, but sometimes there can be conflicts between representatives of different ethnic groups.

У нас есть много этнических меньшинств, например, татары, башкиры, армяне и другие. 8. I think that racism exists in our society, as in every other multi-cultural society. In my opinion, there are people in Russia who are against ethnic minorities and who think that they should be repatriated. But most people in Russia support the fact that our society is multi-cultural.

When i think of someone special, who i could look up to, my grandfather comes to my mind. there are, of course, many prominent people, that are worth admiring. many teenagers are fans of some rock singers, famous actors, but for me the hero is my granddad. he is rather old now, almost 80. nevertheless, he looks and acts as an up-to-date person. he is neither tall nor short, more of a medium height, but he is well-built. he always speaks to the point and tries to stay informed of all the current events in the world. he went through the second world war and had several injuries. he survived the times of real famine and poverty. growing up in a family of 15 children, he had to share one coat and one pair of shoes with his siblings. the same can be said about food. he had to share his only piece of bread or candy with a great number of starving brothers and sisters. however, they survived and they learned to appreciate every little thing in this world. by the way, my grandfather’s name is vladimir. he is my mum’s father. he has always been good to me and my younger sister, though we are not his only grandchildren. when we were little, he would take us to the ice-cream booth at the central park and buy as much ice-cream as we wanted. he would also take us to the merry-go-round. all his life he worked at the factory, where he created vehicle parts. although he has retired long ago, he still does some minor jobs to keep busy. whenever any of his relatives needs help, he is always there for them. he is a great husband, a wonderful father and the best grandfather in the world.
