                                        my school

i study at one of the oldest schools of our city. it is more than 80 years old.

at first it was an old wooden building, but it was burnt down during the war. after the war a new two-storey building was built. then, in the 1960-s, the third floor was added to it. ten years later another addition was made including a large gym, a spacious assembly hall, a library and a canteen.

on the ground floor of our school there are classrooms for different subjects, such as history, mathematics, russian language and literature, foreign languages and crafts. our classrooms are large although there are a few smaller ones, where we have english and german. there are physics, biology and chemistry labs on the first floor. our three computer science classrooms are also situated on the first floor. on the second floor there are geography, history, arts classrooms and our school museum.  

we have a lot of opportunities to do sports at our school. there is a gym, an outdoor football pitch and a sports ground for playing basketball and volleyball. it would be great to have a swimming pool, but there isn’t any. although it is the only downside.

in my opinion, our school is a great place for children because of its dedicated teachers. most of them are kind and respectful to pupils. the teachers are always ready to answer our questions and listen to our problems.

i also like my school very much because my friends study here.

school is a place where we all spend a great deal of our life and often make lifelong friends. i believe i will always remember my school.

я учусь в одной из старейших школ нашего города. ей более 80 лет.

сначала это было старое деревянное здание, но оно сгорело во время войны. после войны было построено новое двухэтажное здание. затем, в 1960-х, к нему был добавлен третий этаж. десять лет спустя была добавлена пристройка: большой спортзал, просторный актовый зал, библиотека и столовая.

на первом этаже нашей школы есть кабинеты по различным предметам, таким как , , язык и , иностранные языки и кабинет труда. наши кабинеты большие, хотя есть несколько маленьких, где у нас проходят уроки и языков. на втором этаже расположены лаборатории , биологии и . наши три компьютерных класса также находятся на втором этаже. на третьем этаже расположены кабинеты , , искусства и наш школьный музей.

у нас есть много возможностей заниматься спортом в школе. есть спортзал, открытая футбольная площадка и площадка для игры в баскетбол и волейбол. было бы здорово иметь бассейн, но его нет. хотя это единственный минус.

на мой взгляд, наша школа - отличное место для детей ее преданным учителям. большинство из них добры и уважительны к ученикам. учителя всегда готовы ответить на наши вопросы и выслушать наши проблемы.

мне также нравится моя школа, потому что здесь учатся мои друзья.

школа - это место, где мы все проводим большую часть нашей жизни и часто заводим друзей на всю жизнь. я верю, что всегда буду помнить свою школу.
