It was a cloudy Friday afternoon. Tom and James were walking by the lake and talking about their summer holidays. All of a sudden, Tom noticed an old house. The people in their town said that it was a haunted house. But Tom and James didn't believe them, so they decided to go inside. They opened the front door slowly and  entered the hallway. They were going up the stairs when suddenly they heard a strange noise behind them. They turned and saw a scary shadow. The boys were screaming and ran out of the house as fast as they cold. As they were running, James looked back and spotted a dog in the doorway. Was it the dog's shadow? They didn't know but they never returned to the old house again!
