there are different kinds of places where we can buy things: bazaar, mobile shop, boutique, department store, kiosk, market, shopping arcade, shopping center, stall, supermarket. as usual a department store is divided into several sections where you can bye everything. they are: haberdashery, outwear, underwear, knitted goods, perfumery. here you can see price labels on the goods on the counters. there is usually a cash drawer where you pay money for your purchase. if you go to the supermarket there is a great variety of goods there and there is self-service. you go with a shopping trolley and choose everything you need among food products, household goods, sanitary articles. it is a place where you can buy different kind of bread: rolls, croissants, wafers, gingerbread. as for the food everything is in separate sections (milk, frozen vegetables, tinned food, spices, sweats, fruits, fish, meat.

there are many specialized shops where you can find only one item. we buy furniture in furniture shops, household articles in ironmongers, meat at the butcher’s, fruit and vegetables at greengrocer’s. if we need a choice of fish we go to the fishmonger’s, we buy rings, earrings, chains, necklaces at the jeweler’s, we buy books and magazines in the book shop and wine or shampagne in off license.

  i like going shopping very much but i don’t have enough time for it. but when i am free i like to go to the department store and choose some items of clothes or cosmetics. i like gift shops as you can find pretty things there. among my favourite shops is florist’s. when i buy clothes i prefer trying them on, that’s why there should be a fitting room. i like to go to confectioner’s as i like sweats and at the market i usually buy fruits: pears, bananas, grapefruit, oranges, apples as there are a lot of vitamins in them. i’m also fond of footwear and it is pleasant for me to buy a new pair of boots or shoes. there are a lot of fashionable models to suit all tastes and age groups but sometimes it is difficult to find something really comfortable.
