Today is february 16. everybody at school (is talking) about the big valentine's day dance that (comes) up next week. this is the first year at my school a dance is being actually (organized), so everyone is excited. before valentine's day i was up late (making) valentine's cards for everyone in my class. then i (had) a great idea: instead of saying things i (did not mean), i told everyone what i (thought) of them. the trick was, i (did not write) my name on any of the cards. some of my cards (were given) to our teacher, mrs riser. she went around the room (trying) to understand who (had sent) them. i knew it (would happen). that's why i (had made) a card for myself too.
