а) защита интересов россии;

б) надзор за соблюдением законодательства россии по вопросам таможенного дела;

в) обеспечение исполнения обязательств международных соглашений, подписанных россией по таможенным делам;

г) использование средств таможенного тарифного и нетарифного регулирования, перемещение через таможенную границу россии товаров и других предметов;

д) совершенствование товарного таможенного контроля и других предметов, перемещаемых через таможенную границу россии;

е) совместный контроль с национальным банком россии по валютным операциям;

ж) принятие мер по защите интересов потребителей товаров;

з) создание благоприятных условий для стимулирования товарооборота и пассажиропотока через таможенную границу страны;

и) борьба с контрабандой и нарушением таможенных правил;

j) сотрудничество с таможенными и другими зарубежными агентствами, а также с международными организациями по вопросам таможенного дела;

л) ведение таможенной статистики.
