Nowadays there are  many means of transport: bicycles, buses, sports cars, jet airplanes and others. in fact, many of us don't even think about how we travel. because, at the end of the day, it's just about getting from one place to the other. there are, however, some means of transport that have made an impression on people and have taken the place in history . one mean of transport that truly won in heart of many americans was the river steamboat . a steamboat is a boat that is powered be steam. the steam rotates a paddlewheel or propeller that in turn causes the boat to move forward . in 1807 was created the first successful steamboat, than  the clermont made a commercial voyage. these riverboats became popular for the next few years and were used to transport passengers and merchandise on the major rivers of america. the mississippi river was especially known as its riverboats. steamboats have now disappeared from most american rivers, but they have become a symbol of the mississippi river. fortunately, a small number of steamships are being used today to offer river cruises so many people can get a feel of what it's like to travel this steamboat.

London is a capital of the united kingdom of great britain. there are a lot of places to see.  for example, here is the trafalgar square, where the statue of admiral nelson, who won the battle of the nile, is situated in. the tower of london is a royal prison, where princes, queens and kings and political prisoners  were executed, but it's a museum now. i can describe plenty of beautiful sights of london, but there are places that impressed me most. i like london very much, i'd like to visit it once.
