Ядуже люблю зимові канікули. хоч вони й значно коротші за літні, зате завжди проходять весело та яскраво. все тому, що на зимові канікули мої улюблені свята – новий рік та різдво. усі два тижні відпочинку від занять панує святкова атмосфера. зазвичай я проводжу зимові канікули вдома, тому що на свята до нас приїжджають бабуся та дідусь або інші родичі. ми всі разом готуємося до святкування – прикрашаємо дім та готуємо смачні страви. а потім усією родиною зустрічаємо новий рік, зазвичай не спимо всю ніч. та цього року я сподіваюся, що мені вдасться побувати у карпатах. це моя давня мрія – провести зимові канікули на гірськолижному курорті, покататися на лижах, побачити на власні очі красу гір узимку. зимові канікули змогу перепочити від навчання, поспілкуватися з близьким та присвятити час улюбленим заняттям. взимку, коли надворі морозно, я люблю посидіти з книгою біля вікна та послухати музику. а коли випадає сніг, то я йду гуляти на вулицю. усе навколо біле, здається, що ти потрапив у якийсь інший вимір. так гарно навкруги! можна покататися на ковзанках чи злетіти на санках з гірки, або навіть пограти в сніжки та зробити снігову бабу. це завжди весело для усіх – і дітей, і дорослих. зимові канікули – чудова пора. шкода, що вони швидко закінчуються, і ми знову маємо повертатися до школи. але яскраві враження від добре проведеного часу у нелегкій справі навчання.i love winter holidays very much. although they are much shorter than summer, but always are fun and bright. that's because the winter holidays fall on my favorite holidays - new year and christmas. all two weeks off from classes festive atmosphere reigns. i usually spend the winter holidays at home, as the holidays come to us grandparents or other relatives. we all are preparing for celebration - we decorate the house and prepare delicious meals. and then the whole family new year, usually do not sleep all night. and this year i hope i will be able to visit the carpathians. this is my long-standing dream - to spend winter vacation at a ski resort, ski, to see firsthand the beauty of the mountains in winter. winter holidays allow a break from training, communicate with family and devote time favorite pastime. in winter, when freezing outside, i like to sit with a book by the window and listen to music. when the snow falls, i'm going to walk out. all around white, it seems that you got into some other dimension. so good around! you can ride on rollers or fly on a sled down the hills, or even play snowballs and making a snowman. it's always fun for everyone - both children and adults. winter holidays - a great time. too bad they end quickly, and we once again have to return to school. but the thrills of a well-spent time help in the difficult task of learning.

i’m writing in response to your advertisement in yesterday’s daily news. i would like to apply for the job of a waitress.

i am **(возраст) years old and i live in ****(город0 which is a small town in eastern ******(страна). i have been studying english for nine years. i can read, translate, understand and speak a little german.

i would like to say why i think i can manage to do the job. first of all, english is my favourite subject and i have been getting good marks at school. i always take part in different language contests, conferences, olympiads and debates, on the internet as well. i also helped to organize class trips at my school and worked at a local museum during the summer holidays. i feel i need to practise what i have already learnt in real situations. moreover, i’m very interested in dealing with people and i’m quite sociable and disciplined. so, i wouldn’t have any difficulty communicating with visitors. in addition, i have a little experience of dealing with children. (i helped our leaders in a school camp) one more reason for wishing to apply for the job is that i would very much like to expand my own knowledge of english.
