Am употребляется  с местоимением i (я).  is с местоимениями she, he, it (она, он) are с местоимениями you, we. they (ты, мы, они) аркикль a cтавится в случае, если вы впервые говорите о предмете и никогда ранее о нём не слышали/говорили. купи молоко - buy a milk. артикль the  - артикль определенности, о предмете вы уже слышали/говорили. я выпил весь сок - i drank all the juice.
