                        my school

my name is catherine, i am thirteen years old. i study at school number seven. my school is a three-storeyed building with a lot of classrooms, where we learn different subjects. the classrooms for the primary school are on the first floor and the classrooms for the high school are on the second and third floors.

our school has two gymnasiums with all the necessary equipment. we often stay there after classes and play volleyball. different sports competitions are held there.

my perfect school day

i like to study at my school. i like my teachers and i get on well with my classmates. but sometimes i get bored and then i wonder what my perfect day at school would look like.

i would like my lessons to start at 9 o'clock — in this case i could sleep longer and have plenty of time to get ready for school. i think 5 lessons a day would be enough for me and they would last 60 minutes. on my perfect day i would like to have my favourite subjects: russian, english, history, geography and physical training. there would be 15-minute breaks between the lessons and no queues in the school lunchroom.

i would come home at about half past three and have dinner. after that i would spend an hour watching tv or surfing the internet. and then it is time for homework.

i know that most of pupils hate doing their homework but i am not one of them. i only wish we were given a greater variety of tasks. and ideally it should not take me more than an hour and a half to do them. this means i would still have a lot of free time in the evening, so i could go for a walk or help my mum.

as you see, my idea of the perfect school day looks quite realistic.
