thank you for your letter. of course, we like and celebrate christmas, but it isn’t so popular as new year’s day. the new year is my favorite family holiday. we usually decorate a new year tree and leave presents under it for our relatives. when the clock strikes midnight, we drink champagne and wish each other “happy new year” and then we display the fireworks outside. it is enjoyable!  

also i like other holidays such as easter and maslenitsa. have you ever heard about them?
