This text is telling us about two sisters. the younger one  wendy and the elder one carny. wendy always wanted to be alike her elder sister. and she always was trying to be next to her, but carnydid not like that. when their were children their parents have divoreced. and that made the sisters closer to each other. carny always thought that wendy is her opposite. wendy was shy, but carny was very talkative. carny was very jealos of wendy. it seemed to her that wendy was better, but wendy always was protecting her when someone criticized her. thats why their were so close to each other.

Прошлым летом я побывала в языковой школе на мальте. я выиграла олимпиаду по языку, главным призом которой была двухнедельная поездка. поездка мне понравилась. и лишь один момент портит общее впечатление. это была моя попутчица, настоящая болтушка. утром, когда мы вставали, она всё время болтала об одежде и мальчиках. она умудрялась говорить об одних и тех же вещах и на переменах между занятиями и даже вечером я никак не могла отделаться от её "мальчиков и вещей".  я не зануда и не книжный червь, которого интересует только учёба. и я не завидую, но её глупая болтовня сводила меня с ума так, что даже звук её голоса раздражал меня. иногда я давала ей понять, что её одежда выглядит так себе и совсем ей не идёт, а также смеялась над мальчиками, которые ей нравились. когда она грустила, она становилась спокойнее (менее болтливой). но потом мне становилось стыдно за то, что так разговаривала с ней.
