The era of robots is approaching. it’s the result of scientific-technical progress. these mechanical agents were created to help people with hazardous work and daily chores. and, indeed, they are capable of doing many things. they can perform any operations, according to the program installed in them. for example, they can help with the laundry, do preparatory work for cooking meals, answer the phone, pick up objects, and even deal with radioactive substances. if we think over this issue, we will realize that we have already robots at our houses. they don’t only come in the shape of an electronic man, they are also regarded as automatic machines for performing various work. most household appliances are like robots: a dishwasher, a washing machine, a clothes dryer, a microwave, a blender, a vacuum-cleaner, etc. these intelligent machines help us on everyday basis. they have significantly changed our life to the better. speaking of realistic robots with two hands, two legs and a head with built-in computer, these creatures might be very useful in the future. perhaps, every house will have at least one robot to provide help with a repetitive, boring work. other than that, robots can be exploited to do the most difficult and dangerous things. they are already sent to explore other planets or to explore deep underwater. they are used in factories to build cars and other electronics. it seems that the only way we can get such things done is to entrust them to robots. in my opinion, the future of scientific progress is impossible without them. i’m sure that humanoid robots with artificial intelligence will be used by new advanced generations.

It is almost impossible to imagine the modern world without medicine. the word medicine is derived from latin and means ‘the art of healing’. being an ancient science, medicine has always helped to cure people from dangerous diseases. the main aim of medicine is not only to treat the illness, but also to diagnose and try to prevent it. contemporary medicine is so advanced that doctors can foresee the health problems of a baby yet in the womb. it became possible thanks to modern technology. the development of medicine started at ancient times, when animal parts, minerals and plants were used to cure people. it was the time of ‘herbal medicine’. some people still follow this type of treatment and find it effective. middle ages have introduced small hospitals attached to cathedrals or monasteries. modern medicine has brought various vaccines and antibiotics. there are also many branches and highly-qualified health professionals in modern medicine. if someone is allergic to some products or plants, he or she can see an allergist. if someone suffers from poor eyesight, he or she can address the ophthalmologist. if the problem is connected with teeth, people go to the dentist. nowadays, our country offers two kinds of medical service. there are state institutions which treat the local residents free of charge, and private clinics, where all services are paid and quite expensive. speaking of my family, we usually try to go to a state clinic if someone gets ill but it’s not always easy. you need to schedule an appointment in advance and be a resident of a region where you want to be treated. практически невозможно представить себе современный мир без медицины. слово медицина имеет латинское происхождение и означает "искусство исцеления". будучи древней наукой, медицина всегда лечить людей от опасных заболеваний. основная медицины не только излечить болезнь, но также выявить и предотвратить её. современная медицина настолько усовершенствована, что врачи могут предвидеть проблемы здоровья у ребенка ещё в утробе матери. это стало возможным современным технологиям. развитие медицины началось в древние времена, когда для лечения людей использовались части животных, минералы и растения. это было время «фитотерапии». некоторые люди все еще следуют этому типу лечения, и находят его эффективным. в средневековье появились небольшие больницы, закрепленные за соборами или монастырями. современная медицина привнесла различные вакцины и антибиотики. в современной медицине есть также много направление и высококлассных специалистов в области здравоохранения. если кто-то страдает аллергией на некоторые продукты или растения, он или она может посетить аллерголога. если кто-то страдает от плохого зрения, он или она может обратиться к офтальмологу. если проблема связана с зубами, люди идут к стоматологу. в настоящее время наша страна предлагает два вида медицинского обслуживания. есть государственные учреждения, которые лечат местных жителей бесплатно, и частные клиники, где все услуги платные и довольно дорогие. что касается моей семьи, мы обычно стараемся пойти в государственную клинику, если кто-то заболел, но это не всегда легко. вам нужно записаться на прием заранее и быть жителем региона, где вы хотели бы лечиться.
