In my opinion, my favorite sports player is Lionel Messi and I think so for the three following reasons. First of all, Lionel comes from quite a modest background and was able to fully earn himself a way to success, which is really appealing to me. Secondly, I am fascinated with all the soccer techniques that Lionel performs on the regular basis while playing. Finally, no one can argue with the fact that Lionel is the most accomplished soccer player in the world, winning numerous awards for his stellar performance.

Я не до конца уверена, но вроде бы так.
1) Past Simple и Past Continuous они пришли - это факт, а в тот момент, когда они пришли, происходил процесс  - она слушала радио. Эта конструкция часто встречается. Также still как маркер продолжительности.
2) Past Continuous from и till говорят о каком-то длительном процессе, она была в процессе готовки с такого-то по такой момент, она готовила короче говоря. Это было вчера, поэтому .
3) Present Simple. тут застряла. два варианта - если вопрос, то "Do not I read ...?", но это очень странно, скорее всего, I don`t read. Это тоже просто факт - я не читаю каждый день.
4) Present Continuous. тут можно использовать и другую форму - are going to -, но давай тот вариант, он по заданию правильней. Это план, поэтому используем настоящее продолжительное.
5) Present Continuous здесь мы видим now, значит, всё происходит сейчас, в данный момент.
6) Past Continuous и Past Simple очень похоже на 1 задание, объяснение примерно то же, чем она занималась, какой был процесс, когда произошёл факт - я приехал.
7) Past Simple. это факт, который был в - они не закончили, говорить не о чём. Last week как маркер указывает на это.
8) Present Perfect на это время указывает yet.
9) Present Perfect указывает since. Также что-то началось сейчас и продолжается до сих пор, действие не закончено.
