the modern world is in need of protection from environmental disaster. the biosphere is not able to handle the hazardous waste of our civilization and is starting to deteriorate, threatening the very existence of life on earth. if we do not take urgent action to preserve it, then in the near future, mankind may be in a situation when there is no socio-economic relations, and other measures are not able to prevent an ecological disaster on a global scale.

the global environment continues to suffer. continuing loss of biodiversity and the depletion of fish stocks, desertification claims more and more fertile land, the adverse effects of climate change are already evident, natural disasters are more frequent and more devastating, and developing countries more vulnerable, and air, water and marine pollution continue rob millions of a decent life.

An  earthquake  -  shortly  the  protracted ,  sudden  concussionsof  the  earth's  crust ,  caused  by  the  variable  transferring  of  themasses  of  mountain  breeds  to  the  bowels  of  the  earth  ofearth ,  why  violation  of  tensility    of  mountainbreeds  and  origin  of  seismic  waves  promotes ;   duringkillerquakes ,  on  a  terrene  often  there  are  cracks ,  upcasts,changes ,  tsunamis ;   sometimes  earthquakes  cause  largedestructions   (for  example ,  in   1988  in  armenia ).

Crashed • accelerated • indicate • reverse • overtakesmashed • skidded • started up • braked • fasten • swerveadjust • sounded • check • stalled • release • pulled away i've just finished my driving test and i think it went quite well. ok, so i made a few mistakes, but nothing too serious. for example, i forgot to 1adjust the mirrors, with the result that i couldn't see anything behind me. then, when i 2. started the car, i forgot that i had left it in first gear, so i 3. oh, and i forgot to 4.fasten my seatbelt. and 5.release the handbrake. when i eventually 6 pulled away from the side of the road, i forgot to 7.check my mirrors; the driver of the car that almost 8.crashed  into me as a result 9.sounded his horn and shouted something at me, but i didn't hear what. i nearly went through a red light,but saw it at the last second and tried to stop. unfortunately, i lost control and my car 10.skidded across to the other side of the road - fortunately, the cars coming in the opposite direction managed to 11.swerve out of the way. at one point, i 12.accelerated when i should have 13. breaked, so instead of stopping, the car just went faster! fortunately, the police car that i 14.smashed into the back of wasn't badly damaged and the policeman driving it didn't shout at me too loudly. at another time i had to 15.overtake  somebody who was driving a bit slowly, but i forgot to 16.indicate, so the drivers behind me had no idea what i was going to do. finally, i managed to 17.reverse  into a wall which i couldn't see behind me. i don't know if i've passed yet, because the examiner is still being treated for shock in the local hospital.
