It seems to me that the united kingdom is not a small country. i believe that it is one of the leading countries now because it had many rich colonies in the past. (мне кажется, что uk не маленькая страна. я думаю, что она одна из ведущих стран сейчас, т.к. у нее было много богатых колоний в прошлом.) i suppose the uk may lose northern ireland soon and wales and scotland later, like it lost hong kong in 1997, because of the differences in languages, culture and history.
