The united kindom of great britain and northen ireland or the uk is the official name of the state which includes england, scotland, wales and northen ireland. the best-known symbol of the uk is the british national flag called the union jack. the capital of the uk is london. there hundreds of historic buildings, galleries and musiums. i'd like to visit the most famous places in londaon such as buckingham palace, st. paul's cathedrale, the tower of london and so on. i'd alse like to visit other british cities like liverpool, the  place where  the beatles formed, stratford-upon-avon, the homeland of  shakespeare, and some others. as for  the british nation, it is said to be conservative. the british are famous for their traditions. polite words 'please', ' thank you', ' excuse me' are used very often. english people are very reserved. this means they don't talk to much to stranger and display their emotions.  when i think af great britain i always imagine a respectable gentleman in a bowler hat walking the dog and speaking about the weather.
