Summer holidays are the longest ones, so I have a lot of ideas how to make them unforgettable. I will go to visit my grandparents. They will be happy to meet me. They live in the country and I am sure I will have a lot of fun there. There is a river not far from their house, so I will often go fishing and I hope I will catch a lot of fish. Besides, I will be glad to see my friends there. They will tell me their latest news. We will spend time riding bikes and walking in the forest. We will gather berries and mushrooms there. I will make a lot of photos and show them to my classmates when I am back to school in autumn. I hope the weather will be nice. It will be warm, but not very hot and it will not rain very often. I believe my summer holidays will be perfect!
Cricket is a popular summer sport in Britain. There are many cricket clubs in the country. Cricket (1) players wear a certain uniform — white boots, a white T-shirt and white trousers. One cricket (2) game takes a terribly long time. There are two teams of 11 (3) players each and test matches between national teams can last up to 5 days. The spectators have to be very patient. The game is played on a pitch with a wicket at each end. The (4) rules of the game have changed over the years. It is a game which is associated with long sunny summer afternoons, the smell of new-mown grass and the sound of leather (5) ball beating the willow cricket bat. Cricket is more popular among men, but it is also played by women and girls.
