Масленица-это праздник, когда люди провожают Зиму. Масленица длится неделю, то есть 7 дней. Чаще всего на масленицу пекут блины, устраивают конкурсы, битвы. 
     На 1-ый день только "встречают" Масленицу, на 2-ой устраивают "заигрыши", 3-ий день масленицы называется "лакомка", 4-ый день называется "широкий четверг", 5-ый день называется "тещины вечерки", 6-ой день называется "золовкины посиделки", а на 7-ой день заключительный. В этот день сжигают соломенную куклу.
