Довольно-таки хороший фильм с множеством смешных моментов, так что любому зрителю скучать не придется. Хотя в целом, я думаю, фильм больше понравится детям, они будут в полном восторге от шоколадных рек и водопадов, от цветов и деревьев, сделанных из сладких конфет, от умных белок, перебирающих орешки и т. п.
Очень понравилось начало. Тиму Бёртону удалось по-настоящему заинтриговать — кто же всё-таки найдет 5 золотых билетов, позволяющих попасть на шоколадную фабрику Вилли Вонка, делающую самый вкусный шоколад в мире. Находишься в постоянном ожидании, предвкушении и напряжении одновременно, кто же всё-таки станет счастливым обладателем выйграшного билетика. 
Понравилась и сама фабрика и Вилли Вонка, её владелец, а также главный герой — мальчишка, по имени Чарли, оба они вышли такими трогательными, светлыми и милыми персонажами на экране. 
Единственное, что у меня не вызвало никакого восторга — выступления маленьких человечков, поющих на экране. Их песни и вид не вызывали у меня ничего положительного, а впечатления от их присутствия никак не назовешь хорошими.
В самом начале я уже сказала, что дети будут в восторге от моря шоколада на экране, но и для более взрослых телезрителей фильм будет интересен по-своему. Ведь он рассказывает не только о «шоколадных» путешествиях, но и раскрывает секреты воспитания детей — о том, что нельзя быть слишком строгим или потакающим, слишком требовательным или, наоборот, слишком мягким и ласковым. Ребенок — такая же личность, пускай и рост у малыша не достигает метра или чуть выше него. Он уже может нести ответственность за свои поступки, отличать добро от зла, различать достаток и бедность, ценить семью и всех, кто его любит.
В общем, очень светлое доброе кино со смешными и милыми персонажами, и о том, что чудеса случаются, и в них стоит верить.
