Dear Lucy,
Thanks for your letter. It was great to hear from you.
As for reading, a lot of young people stopped reading ordinary books, because of the internet. And it is very sad. However, a bit number of young people, as I, still enjoy reading. 
To my mind,popular writers for Russian young people are Bernand Werber, Paulo Coelho, Mayne Reid. So, Russian youth mostly enjoy fantasy and drama. 
As for me, I enjoy drama and dystopia, especially dystopia "Metro 2033" and its sequel "Metro 2034" by Dmitry Glukhovsky.
