I like all animals but my favourite one is a whale. I like to read something about them and to watch films on TV.

Whales are not fish; they are the biggest sea animals on our planet.

They can be found in all the oceans.

The word ‘whale’ comes from the Greek language and is translated as a sea monster.

They live about 30 to 50 years and some of them even more than that.

There are different kinds of whales: some of them are very big. Blue whales, for example, are about 30 metres long and can weigh up to 150 tons. Other kinds are about 5 metres long and weigh about 4 tons.

The can dive as deep as 1 kilometer, not more.

They can swim under water from 10 up to 40 minutes, and then they must come to the surface of the water to breathe.

Whales can develop speed up to 20 and even 40 km/h. (kilometers per hour)

Some kinds of whales have teeth and one tooth weighs 1 kilogramme.

Whales feed on marine plankton, mollusks, fish, and krill.  Some kinds eat sea animals: seals, penguins, etc.

People kill whales for their fat and whalebone.

 

 

Что англичане едят? У каждого ежедневный рацион зависит (наверное, как и везде,) от вкуса, дохода и образа повседневной жизни. На завтрак, кто-то мчится на работу, и захватит чашку чая или кофе и ломтики тоста и мармелада, или даже не так, просто купит кофе и круассан по пути!
Но в выходные, когда есть больше времени, они могут позволить себе  в субботу или воскресенье "Большой британский завтрак" (который сейчас продается везде в кафе "завтрак весь день" - он очень популярен среди туристов). Традиционная английская еда - рыба и чипсы с горохом, пирог со стейком и почками, колбасой и картофельным пюре; но люди также едят блюда индийской или китайской кухни, пасту с мясным или овощным соусом, из обычных средиземноморских трав, таких как базилик, орегано, плюс оливки, соус Песто, посыпанные пармезаном. Что касается еды вне дома - её определяет доход. Так как я нахожусь на пенсии, то это, как правило, индийский или китайский ресторан, а есть дешевый польский ресторан недалеко от моего дома - куда бывает я хожу раз в месяц, и я могу также заказать еду (вы звоните в ресторан и они еду вам доставляют - как правило, из индийского ресторана) один или два раза в месяц. On the whole, America was and is one of the most progressive countries in terms of new technologies, so all the scientific and technical literature it appeared in English.
But the main reason for the promotion of the language - its widespread use. Wherever you come, you will certainly be to communicate with the locals as time in English. In addition, it provides relatively easy to study. And, of course, knowledge of English - a good support for a job
