Moscow is the capital and the largest city of Russia. Moscow is located in the north-central part of the European part of Russia.  It was founded in 1147 by Prince Yuri Dolgoruky. Due to the convenient location, the city grew and expanded. If you look at the central part of Moscow from a bird’s eye view, this city will look like a wheel. The Kremlin is situated in the center. Nowadays, it is the center of the Russian Federation’s government.

There are a lot of museums (about 150), exhibitions and various galleries in the city.

The largest university of the country is the Moscow State University that was founded in 1755. The university is located in Moscow. Every year it opens its doors to thousands of students from different parts of Russia.

Moscow provides great job opportunities. Everyone here will find a job to his or her liking.

In fact, there is no perfect city. Therefore, it is worth mentioning some disadvantages of Moscow. First, there is a huge number of people. Most likely, a person who prefers living alone will not like it very much. Secondly, the traffic jams. Sometimes it seems that you spend a lifetime in traffic jams and queues. Moscow traffic jams stretch for kilometers. Many people refuse to buy cars in Moscow due to traffic jams and limited parking spaces. Instead, they prefer to use the subway.

What can you visit in Moscow?

One of the main sights of the capital, which is worth visiting, is Red Square. Red Square is the beloved place of Moscow citizens. It is located behind the Kremlin wall. Every year, there are military parades dedicated to the great holiday of the Russian people — the day of the Great Victory. There are always many people on Red Square every day, and there is a special cheerful atmosphere.

The Kremlin, which is the official residence of the Russian President, remains an importance place for everybody. The Kremlin is a real treasury. An eternal flame burns in front of the Kremlin’s Kutafya tower in memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. The changing of the guard takes place every hour.

Every day, a large number of people lines up outside the Lenin Mausoleum to look at Vladimir Ilyich Lenin. He was the leader of the communist movement.

In Moscow, it is worth seeing St. Basil’s Cathedral, the famous cathedral with multi-colored domes.

In the center of Moscow, you can visit the Alexandrovsky Garden. The garden is famous for its architectural monuments and incredibly beautiful plants.

One of the favorite places of Moscow citizens is Gorky Park. You can find any kind of entertainment in the park. You can take part in free courses or go cycling or skateboarding. You can rent a bike and ride to Neskuchny Garden, the other famous park. At the end of Neskuchny Garden, you find yourself on Vorobyovy Gory. There is a beautiful view of the entire city in this place.

Every person who visits Moscow should go to the subway. Many people are using the subway instead of a car or taxi. In addition, it is quick and inexpensive to get anywhere by the subway. Many stations have a unique design and a fascinating history.

When you are in Moscow you should visit the following sights: VDNKh (which is the Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy), the Tretyakov Gallery, the Memorial Museum of Cosmonautics, the Armory, Old Arbat and New Arbat streets, Moscow City skyscrapers, Patriarch’s Ponds, Ostankino TV Tower and other places.

Moscow is the most important industrial city in Russia. Moscow’s factories produce a wide range of products: automobiles, chemical equipment, electrical equipment, steel, textiles, and measuring instruments.

Moscow is a city of contrasts. A city of great opportunities, where everyone can find himself or herself.
