In the modern fauna of Kazakhstan 180 species of mammals, 500 species of birds, 52 species of reptiles, 12 species of amphibians, more than 100 species of fish. More than 50 thousand. Invertebrate species (insects, crustaceans, molluscs, worms). Only some insects are registered more than 30 000 species.
A variety of natural conditions determines the species richness of birds. Total in the national park of 178 observed species. Among the typical mountain are: Tien Shan shrew, rocky white-toothed shrew, red pika, gray marmot, Tien Shan birch mouse, vole silver, stone marten, snow leopard, mountain goat.
