Igo to school every day. here is my school day: school starts at 8: 55 am. my lessons start at 9: 20 am. at 10: 20 am we have break time. after break time we have one lesson. a 12: 00 am we have lunch time. we eat snacks that we bring from home. in the afternoon, lessons start at 1: 10 pm and at 3: 15 pm we go home. my favourite subjects are music and art. i find english lessons easy. science is easy, too. and i'm good at pe. but i hate maths lessons, homework and tests!

the legend received its name from holika, the sister of the mythical king hiranyakasipu, who had authority over every one who worshipped him. but his little son prahlad became a devotee of the god vishnu. then hiranyakashipu ordered his sister to kill prahlad. holika, blessed with the ability to pass through fire unharmed, picked up the baby and went through the fire with him. prahlad began to chant hymns to vishnu and was saved from the fire, holika was killed because she didn't know that her ability has expired, if it was a fire not one. in her honor called the festival.

этот праздник в честь легенды о холике.

легенда получила свое название от холики, сестры мифического короля хираньякашипу, который имел власть над каждым, кто поклонялся ему. но его маленький сын прахлад стал бога вишну. тогда хираньякашипу приказал своей сестре убить прахлада. холика, наделенная способностью проходить сквозь огонь невредимой, взяла ребенка и вошла в огонь вместе с ним. прахлад начал воспевать гимны вишну и был спасен из огня, холика же погибла, потому что она не знала, что ее способность теряла силу, если она входила в огонь не одна.  в честь неё назвали этот фестиваль.

 

люди обычно носят в этот праздник белое, и не просто так представители всех каст и сословий, мужчины и женщины, старики и дети посыпают друг друга цветным порошком и обливают друг друга подкрашенной водой. считается, что чем обильнее покрывают одежду человека краски, тем больше хороших пожеланий направлено в его адрес.  такая традиция.

они слушают традиционные (индийские) песни, едят и угощают друг друга (ладду, чатни, расам, панир, сингара, джалеби, халава, джалфрези, роти, карри ), танцы (катакали, катпак, бхаратха, чхау), дарят подарки (родным), смотрят фейерверки, и украшают дом (различными индийскими украшениями), я думаю, что этот праздник является самым интересным, весёлым, смешным и красочным.
