Тебя В Америке поймут. Дело в том, что в Америке крассатика намного упрощенная, чем в Британии. Соответственно, даже Гарри Поттера переводили на американский язык) Ну учиться всегда трудно, пробуй, экспериментируй! Освоишься, американский проще, там нет путаницы с временами. Говоришь, как оно есть и тебя никто не осудит. А так, есть конечно несоответствия с английским британским.

1) Birthday presents. On your birthday you get cards and presents from your family and friends. Parents often buy a big present like a bike or an MP3 player. Other people give toys, sweets, books, clothes, CDs, DVDs and things like that.

2) A birthday cake. People normally have a birthday party for their friends. There’s usually a birthday cake with one candle for each year of your age. The person with the birthday blows out the candles and makes a wish. Then everybody sings “Happy birthday!”

3) Places to take friends to on a birthday. People often have a party at their own home. Some older children don’t have a party. They take their friends to the cinema, a bowling alley or somewhere like that.

4) Name days in Hungary. My friend, Anna, in Hungary says that they have “name days” in their country, but we don’t have “name days”.

5) Giving flowers on name days and birthdays. Anna also says that people in Hungary give flowers on name days and birthdays. In Britain, we usually give flowers only to women. Cameron and I give flowers to our mum on her birthday.

 

 

A: So, you've never been to Great Britain before, have you?

B: No, I haven't. That's why I'm delighted to be here on board this ship.

A: I see. I wonder where you're from.

B: Ukraine. And you are British, aren't you?

A: Oh yes, I am! I'm English. I'm from London actually. I'm going home from my holiday in France. I enjoy travelling by sea, for me it's the most pleasant means of travelling. You like it too, don't you?

B: Yes, I do. I really enjoy fresh sea air and I love walking on the deck watching the sea and the sky. Besides, I feel so comfortable and safe here, with all these modern conveniences on board the ship.

A: Right. Have you been to the restaurant already? They say it's quite good. Would you like to join me for lunch?

B: Yes, I'd love to. Is it OK if I ask you a few questions about your country?

A: Sure. What would you like to know?

B: You see, I'm going to London and plan to stay there for a week. I'd like to see as many sights as possible, so what is the cheapest way to get about London?

A: It's walking. But if you need to go far, then you can either rent a bike or buy a travel card to pay for all your journeys by bus.

B: What if I want to go to Windsor? How can I get there?

A: If I were you, I would go there by train.

A: Так, вы никогда не бывали в Великобритании раньше?

Б: Нет. Вот почему я рад быть здесь на борту этого корабля.

A: Понятно. Интересно, откуда же вы?

Б: Из Украины. А вы британец?

A: О да! Я англичанин. Я из Лондона, если точнее. Еду домой после отпуска во Франции. Мне нравится путешествовать по морю, для меня это самый приятный передвижения. Вам он тоже нравится, не так ли?

B: Да. Мне очень нравится свежий морской воздух, и я люблю гулять по палубе, глядя на море и небо. Кроме того, я чувствую себя здесь так комфортно и безопасно со всеми этими современными удобствами на борту.

A: Верно. Вы уже были в ресторане? Говорят, он довольно хорош. Хотите присоединиться ко мне на обед?  / Хотите пообедать со мной?

Б: Да, с удовольствием. Ничего, если я задам вам несколько вопросов о вашей стране?

A: Конечно. Что бы вы хотели узнать?

Б: Видите ли, я еду в Лондон и планирую провести там неделю. Я хотел бы увидеть как можно больше достопримечательностей, а как дешевле всего передвигаться по Лондону?

A: Пешком. Но если вам нужно ехать далеко, вы можете взять напрокат велосипед или купить проездной билет, чтобы оплатить все поездки на автобусах.

Б: Что если я захочу поехать в Виндзор? Как можно попасть туда?

A: На вашем месте я бы поехал туда на поезде.
