I could not imagine her teaching English, she used to be so nervous.
Я не могу представить что она преподаёт уроки английского, она часто нервничала.
Здесь конструкция "used to" это действие произошло в времени. Например вы привыкли в детстве играть игрушки, а сейчас вы не играете. For example: I used to play toys. (But I don't play it nowadays.)(простите за ошибки, по национальности я узбечка)
