А- неопределенный объект, называешь в первый раз. A book - в первый раз видишь книгу или называешь ее.
the - определенный объект. The book пишется, когда предмет уже называли или мы знаем, про что говорим.

I am their only sister, they really care about me. I'm sorry that so rarely see them! Igor-businessman, Kostya-footballer, Arthur-oilman, Vadim-programmer, Edik-Builder, Arthur-driver, and Vlad still studying at school. My relatives live far away, and I really miss them!
