Сегодня воскресенье. Это наш день уборки. Мы и наш дом убираем в воскресенье, и принимаем ванну в воскресенье.

Сейчас Пинки убирает кухню и ванную. Я убираю в столовой. Блэки убирает спальню. Это весело. Нам нравится. Когда дом чист, Пинки говорит:

— Теперь давайте поработаем в саду. Давайте польем цветы и деревья в саду.

— О нет! — кричим мы с Блэки. — Мы не можем работать в саду. Мы устали.

— Но подумайте о деревьях и цветах! — говорит Пинки. — Вы пьете молоко и воду каждый день, а они не могут этого сделать. У них нет молока или воды в холодильнике. Им хочется пить.

— Откуда ты знаешь? — спрашиваем мы. — Ты говоришь с деревьями?

— Нет, — говорит Пинки, и она очень сердита. — Но я знаю! Смотрите!

Пинки берет стакан воды и поливает пол.

— Вы видите воду? — спрашивает она.

— Да,  — отвечаем мы.

— Пол не хочет пить. Он не пьет воду, - говорит Пинки. — Теперь пойдем в сад.

Пинки берет еще стакан воды, и мы идем в сад.

Подходим к дереву. Пинки поливает дерево.

—Смотрите! — говорит Пинки. — Дерево пьет! На земле сейчас нет воды.

Мы смотрим на землю. Она влажная, но на земле нет воды.

— Деревья хотят пить! — говорит Пинки. — Теперь мне их полить.

— Пинки, ты очень умная! — говорю я. — Ты умеешь понимать деревья.

И мы поливаем все деревья и цветы в саду.

Миссис По всегда навещает нас по воскресеньям. Она смотрит на чистые комнаты, на деревья и цветы в саду. Она говорит: «Хорошие котята!»
