"happy birthday, dana, " said john. he was holding a present. it was wrapped in green paper and had a pink bow. "but it's not my birthday, " said dana. "well, that's okay, " said john. "you can have it anyway. since i'm always teasing you." he and joe smiled. dana eagerly tore off the wrapping paper. maybe john wasn't so bad after all, she thought. it was a box of tissues. john and joe laughed hysterically. "that's not funny! " said dana. she raised her fist and started to chase after them.

Каждый день после обеда миссис Джулс читала классу рассказ. Дана ненавидела рассказы.

Последняя книга, которую читала миссис Джулс, была рассказом о свинке и пауке. Свинка была очень милой, а паук - очень мудрым.

Дана считала, что это ужасная книга. Уж слишком много Дана смеялась из-за нее. Все остальные тоже смеялись, но проблема была в том, что Дана продолжала смеяться еще долго после того, как все остальные в классе переставали. Это было очень неловко. Thomas is  a student. He studies at the London nautical school and he wants to be a radio-officer. But now he has his holidays. He is in Bristol now. He is  staying at the Hilton hotel at the moment. He usually stays here because he  likes it very much. He is  writing a letter to his parents now. He always  writes to them when he is away. He is going to leave for London tomorrow evening. He is going to  take his exam in English in a week. He is  going to pass it successfully. Besides he has a girlfriend Jane by name. They are  going to marry very soon.
