My name is liza and I study at the 8th grade of a state secondary school. When I’m asked about my favourite number, I always answer seven. It is especially relevant this year, when I’m in my seventh year of school. This number is lucky for me in many ways. First of all, I was born on January the 7th. Secondly, I know that number seven has certain Biblical meaning. It was on the seventh day, when God ended his work of creation. This was the day of completion, when he could finally rest. Some religious communities still keep this in mind and try to do nothing on Sundays, just rest and enjoy life. Moreover, almost everyone in the world has the day-off on the seventh day of the week. Many people believe that number seven is the lucky number and I’m no exception. In ancient numerology number seven is also connected with something perfect and complete. It is a spiritual number of seekers and thinkers. People, dominated by the seven, easily stand out from the crowd. It is also considered to be the intellectual number. Even for ancient civilizations number seven had a symbolic meaning. As for me, I noticed long ago that number seven brings me luck. For example, if I get the seventh ticket during the exams, I always get good marks. Even my cell phone number contains several sevens. I’m not very superstitious on most occasions, but this makes me feel safer and more comfortable. Apart from number seven, I also like numbers three and five. However, I don’t know exactly why. The number that I avoid is thirteen. It is well known that this number can bring bad luck. Unlike number seven, various cultures consider it to be sinister and wicked.
