Life 50 Years Ago
Life today seems to be much better than 50 years ago. It became much easier to do many basic things. For example, people don't have to wash clothes without a washing machine. There is a microwave, a vacuum cleaner, a dishwasher, an electric cooker almost in every house. Modern technology has fully changed our lives to the better. Fifty years ago people couldn't even imagine that household chores would be done by smart appliances. To think only, they didn't know that computers would instantly send messages, take photos, or allow making video calls. Nobody had cell phones back then. On the one hand, it might have been difficult to live without these gadgets. On the other hand, children were much happier without cell phones and hand-held computers. My grandparents often tell me about their childhood and youth. They say it was a happy time and people were different. People of their generation weren't commercially-minded at all. Our generation lives at the era of consumerism. We don’t value things and clothes that much. When we break or spoil something, we go to the store and easily buy a new one. My grandmother tells that she could wear the same pair of shoes for ten years and more, while I want to buy new shoes almost every season. Women’s rights have also been modified. Fifty years ago they were supposed to be diligent housewives. Today women are seen at many high positions. They can be leading lawyers, politicians, financiers, top managers and superintendants. Another modern step forward is the development of travel opportunities. It has become faster, cheaper and more convenient to travel from one country to another. It is beneficial nearly for everyone: international students, curious adults, international commerce and trade, etc.

Жизнь сегодня, кажется, гораздо лучше, чем 50 лет назад. Стало намного легче справляться со многими элементарными вещами. Например, людям не приходится стирать одежду без стиральной машины. Почти в каждом доме есть микроволновая печь, пылесос, посудомоечная машина, электрическая плита. Современные технологии полностью изменили нашу жизнь к лучшему. Пятьдесят лет назад люди не могли даже представить себе, что домашними делами будут заниматься «умные» устройства. Подумать только, они не знали, что компьютеры смогут мгновенно отправлять сообщения, делать фотографии или позволят совершать видеозвонки. В то время ни у кого не было сотовых телефонов. С одной стороны, возможно, без этих гаджетов было трудно жить. С другой стороны, дети были гораздо счастливее без сотовых телефонов и карманных компьютеров. Мои бабушка с дедушкой часто рассказывают мне о своих детских и юношеских годах. Они говорят, что тогда было счастливое время и люди были другими. Люди их поколения вовсе не были коммерчески настроенными. Наше поколение живет в эпоху потребительства. Мы особо не ценим вещи и одежду. Если что-нибудь сломалось или испортилось, мы идем в магазин и легко покупаем новую вещь. Моя бабушка говорит, что она носила одну пару обуви свыше десяти лет, в то время как я хочу покупать новые туфли почти каждый сезон. Права женщин также были изменены. Пятьдесят лет назад они должны были быть прилежными домохозяйки. Сегодня женщины занимают высокие должности. Они могут быть ведущими юристами, политиками, финансистами, топ-менеджерами и управляющими. Еще один скачок вперед – это развитие возможностей для туризма. Стало быстрее, дешевле и удобнее путешествовать из одной страны в другую. Это выгодно почти для всех: для иностранных студентов, любопытствующих взрослых, международной коммерции и торговли и т.д.

I hate action films because of cruelty and violence. I feel sad when the people on the screen hit each other. Violence is not my cup of tea. I think that books and films can teach us to be kind and compassionate. I want everybody to live in peace and harmony. It seems to me films you watch may tell everybody about you and your feelings. 

My favourite film is "White Bim Black Ear" by  Gabriel Topolsky that teaches us kindness and mercy, faithfulness and loyalty. A big city. One single man and a faithful dog live in the same apartment. They are very attached to each other. But the sick owner of the dog was taken to hospital. He manages to say to Bim only one word "Wait!" And the dog understands him and he is waiting for his friend.
Unfortunately, there are quite a lot of evil and unpleasant people, and Bim has to meet them in the image of the woman who hates dogs, the angry and cruel collector of dogs' collars, the hunter from a small village.. 
But fortunately, there are much more kind and responsive people in this world, and they help the poor dog. They take an active part in the fates of  Bim and its owner. The story teaches us to be faithful friends, it shows us that hatred and betrayal  are the lowest traits. 
The little boy, faced with cruelty adults, rebels against them, he told the most important words calling us to goodness and mercy, compassion and empathy.  

I like these films.

Я ненавижу боевики из-за жестокости и насилия. Мне грустно, когда люди на экране бьют друг друга. Насилие-это не моё. Я думаю, что книги и фильмы должны учить нас быть добрыми и милосеродными. Я хочу, чтобы все жили в мире и согласии. 
Мне кажется, фильмы, которые вы смотрите, могут рассказать все о вас и вашем вкусе. 
Мой любимый фильм "Белый Бим Черное ухо" по повести Гавриила Топольского, который учит нас доброте и милосердию, преданности и верности.
Большой город. Мужчина и верный пес живут в той же квартире. Они очень привязаны друг к другу. Но больной хозяин собаки был отпавлен в больницу. Он успевает сказать Биму только одно слово: "Ждать!" И собака понимает его и  ждет своего друга.К сожалению, есть немало злых и неприятных людей, и Биму пришлось встретиться с ними: с женщиной, которая ненавидит собак, злым и жестоким коллекционером собачьих ошейников, охотник из маленькой деревни.. Но, к счастью, есть гораздо более добрые и отзывчивые люди в этом мире, и они бедной собаке. Они принимают активное участие в судьбах Бима и его хозяина. История учит нас быть верными друзьями, показывает нам, что ненависть и предательство - самые низкие черты характера. Маленький мальчик, столкнувшись с жестокостью взрослых, восстает против несправедливости и говорит самые важные слова, призывающие нас к добру и милосердию, сочувствию и сопереживанию.
Такие фильмы я люблю.

Today I would like to review one great film. It is called The Lord of the rings. It was shot in 1998 and gained great popularity among all people from over the world. This film retells us about the rings, which were given to nine kings of the human, 6 kings of the elf, 3 kings of the dwarfs. Then great king of Mordor makes them to obey. Some kings were turned into the beasts. Moreover, we witness to great war between the human and the orks. The great Middle-earth war begins. Saruman, the great warlock betrays all and takes Sauron's side. He creates new strong warriors. The main character Frodo must destroy the main ring in volcano located in Mordor to kill Sauron.Then he is succeded in it and the kind wins. In my opinion, this film must be watched by everyone, since I have never watched such an exellent fantasy. Dialogs sound natural and costumes are realistic. Everything is at high level. I recommend this film for watching! It is worth your time!
