Why is oxford street very popular? what is selfidges famous for? what are supermarkets? oxford street is a very big and popular shopping centre in london. there are clothes shops and shoe shops, book shops and dress shops. one of the largest department srores in oxford street is selfridges. it has more than 300 departments on 6 floors, 2500 employees (people who work there) and every day more than 100 000 people from all over the world walk its doors, eat in its 5 restaurants and use its four lifts and three escalators. in the early days there were gardens on the roof and many people came and looked at the famous selfridges lifts. today it is famous for its window displays at christmas. selfridges is a very expensive department store, that is why most londoners have to go to cheaper shops: marks and spencer’s for clothes and supermarkets for food. supermarkets have become very popular with shoppers. they sell not only food, but also ready made clothes, toys and other goods. they are self- service shops.

Оксфорд стрит очень большой и популярный торговый центр в Лондоне. Здесь есть магазины одежды и магазины с обувью и книжные магазины.
Один из самых больших магазинов на Оксфорд стрите - Сэлфриджи. В нём находится более 300 отделов на 6 этажах, 2500 работников и каждый день более 100000 людей из всего мира входят в эти двери, едят в этих 5 ресторанах и используют 4 лифта и 4 эскалатора.
Раньше на крышах были сады и много людей приходило посмотреть на знаменитые лифты Сэлфриджи. Сегодня он знаменит из-за открытых окон в Рождество.
Сэлфриджи очень дорогой магазин, поэтому многим лондонцам приходится идти в магазины дешевле: в "Марк и Спенсер" за одеждой и в супермаркеты за едой. Супермаркеты стали очень популярны из-за количества покупателей. Они продают не только еду, но также одежду, игрушки и другое. Это магазины с самообслуживанием

My room is very light and large. There is a sofa on the right. Next to the sofa there is a yellow nightstand. You can see a vase with flowers on my dresser. On the left side of the dresser there is a window. And next to the window there is my desk where I do my homework. Of course,  I have a computer desk with my new net-book which connected to Internet. Along the long wall of my room there is a book-case with many shelves for books and CD-disks. There are some posters with my favorite pop-singers on the walls. And in the middle of the room there is a colorful carpet. I love my room!

 Моя комната очень светлая и большая. Справа стоит диван. Рядом с диваном есть желтая тумбочка. Вы можете видеть вазу с цветами на моем туалетном столике. С левой стороны от комода есть окно. А рядом с окном мой стол, где я делаю домашнее задание. Конечно, у меня есть компьютерный стол с моим новым ноутбуком, который подключен к Интернету. Вдоль длинной стены моей комнаты есть книжный шкаф с множеством полок для книг и компакт-дисков. Есть несколько плакатов с моими любимыми поп-исполнителями на стенах. А в середине комнаты есть красочный ковер. Я люблю мою комнату!
