Перевести текст. janet has beautiful, thick, black hair. she resembles her mother. she always enjoys trying out new hairstyles for herself and her friends. she spends a lot of her pocket money on a visit to hairdressers once a fortnight - 10/6 d for a shampoo and set. but she isn't keen on being a hairdresser herself. many girls are attracted by the idea. too many, in fact! out of every three who apply, two are usually not good at it. certainly, a hairdressing salon seems a glamorous place to work in – beautiful hairstyles, perfumes, comfortable chairs. but the hairdresser herself has a long tiring day on her feet. janet thought about a three-year course cookery. one of her favourite subject at school is domestic science. she is interested in trying new recipes. but she is sure that she will have enough of this when she is married. she likes to deal with people. she could be a receptionist, either at a hotel, or at a doctor’s or dentist’s. but to do this, she should master shorthand and typing. in fact, nearly half the girls in her form will take a one-year secretarial course. less than half the dentists in country have a reliable assistant who knows enough to be able to help them in their work. however, now janet has decided to go into large department store. first, she will spend some time in all different departments, selling jumpers, china, cosmetics or handbags. no wonder she will acquire a wonderful eye for colour and style. later, she can train to become a buyer and work “behind the scenes”. this job will give her the variety and contact with people that she wants.

Она тратит много своих карманных денег на посещение парикмахеров раз в 2 недели - 10\6 на мытье голову и укладку. Но сама не горит желанием быть парикмахером.Многих девушек привлекает эта идея. Очень много,на самом деле!
 Из каждых трех принятых на работу, двое обычно не так хороши.Конечно, парикмахерская кажется гламурным местом для работы -красивые прически, духи, удобные кресла. Но для самого парикмахера  это длинный утомительный день на ногах. Джанет думала о трехгодичном курсе кулинарии.Один из ее любимых предметов в школе Домоводство. Ей нравится пробовать новые рецепты. Но она уверена, что у нее будет достаточно этого, когда она выйдет замуж. 
      Она любит контактировать с людьми . Она могла бы работать на рецепшене, или в гостинице,или быть врачом или стоматологом. Но для этого она должна овладеть стенографией  и печатанием. На самом деле, почти половина девочек из ее класса собираются пройти одногодичные курсы секретаря. У менее чем половины стоматологов в стране есть надежный ассистент, который знает достаточно, чтобы быть в состоянии им в их работе.
Тем не менее, сейчас Дженет решила пойти в большой универмаг.Сначала она проведет какое-то время во всех различных отделах, продаже блузок, фарфора,косметики и сумок. Неудивительно, что она получит прекрасный взгляд на цвет и стиль.  Позже, она может тренироваться стать покупателем и работать  "за кулисами". Эта работа даст ей разнообразие и контакт с людьми,который она хочет.
