Профессор философии 1) стоял перед своим классом, а перед ним были несколько предметов.
Сначала он 2) начал заполнять большую стеклянную банку мячиками для гольфа. 
Студенты 3) согласились, что банка 4) полна.
И профессор 5) улыбнулся, взял коробку с мелкими камушками и высыпал их в банку.
Камушки, конечно 6) упали в маленькое пространство. (имеется ввиду пространство между мячиками)
Затем профессор 7) высыпал коробку песка в банку, 8) потряс её, и песок полностью заполнил банку.
Потом он объяснил
"Банка олицетворяет вашу жизнь", - сказал профессор.
"Мячики - это важные вещи - ваша семья, ваша религия, ваше здоровье ; если вы 9) потеряете всё остальное, то ваша жизнь всё ещё будет полной.
Камушки - это меньше значимые вещи - ваша работа, ваш дом, ваша машина.
Песок символизирует мелочи жизни.
Если вы поместите песок в банку первым, то там не останется места для камушков или мячиков, прямо как в жизни.
Позаботьтесь сначала о камушках - вещах, которые действительно важны.

Я думаю, что всё-же сначала нужно думать о "мячиках"
