My name is Alexandra and I’m 15 years old. My hobbies are listening to music and roller-skating. Sometimes I combine these two activities. I simply can’t imagine a day without music. Moreover, I like almost all types of music, be it classical or hard rock. The music genre that I choose depends on my mood. If I want to party with friends, I choose rock music or hip-hop. If I want to relax, I choose classical or instrumental music. Whenever I feel sad, I listen to gothic or alternative music. However, my favourite music style is jazz. It cheers me up in any situation. I know that jazz originated in the late 19th century in New Orleans, USA. This genre includes the features of improvisation, polyrhythm, swing, syncopation and African blues. It quickly spread around the world and today millions of people are fans of jazz. One of the most famous musicians in this style was Louis Armstrong. Nowadays, there are so many new styles in jazz culture. For example, jazz rap, jazz rock, Latin jazz, etc. The core of jazz music is the element of improvisation. It is impossible to make a good jazz music without it. However, the approach to improvisation differs from state to state. The commonly used instruments to play jazz music are saxophone, piano, double bass, clarinet and some others. I especially like when each performer in a band plays solo. I’ve been to several jazz concerts and truly enjoyed it. My parents approve of my tastes in music. It is a family tradition to attend any jazz event that take place in our city.

Russia has a very rich history and has a lot of outstanding people most of whom are world famous .i would like to tell you about Leonid Roshal. professor Leond Roshal is a world -famous russian doctor, whose reputation continues to grow as the years pass.

 Roshal was born in Livny, a small town in Oryol Region. From the time he was a small boy , he knew that he would grow up to become a doctor.

After finishing secondary school , he entered a medical institute where he dicided to join the pediatric faculty partly because of his love for children.Roshal's many prestgious titles and awards include Doctor od medicine , Professor, director of the Moscow Research  Institute of Child Surgery and Traumatology and president of the national Charity Fund set up  to help child victims of disasters and Catostophes.

In spite of his heavy workload as the director of the Moscow recearch Institute , professor Roshal stiil devotes much time to his patiants both as a medical doctor and a surgion.

Coming soon will be Summer holidays and I advice you to trip to Spain in order to sunbathe and swim in the Mediterranean Sea. I know a cafe which situated on the Spanish beach. There are made fantastic shakes(coctails). I think that it will be so interesting to visit museum of Dali, castle of Gaudi and and wander through the streets of Spain. And maybe we will take a car and to go to the Salou City.
