Everybody has his or her favourite season of the year. Some people like winter with its snow, some people like spring with its awakening nature. As for me, I like all the seasons. But every season has its pros and cons. And now I will try to explain it.

I think everybody loves winter. Every year begins and finishes with winter. I like it for its snow. When it is snowing you can go along the street and imagine that you are the part of dream or fairytale. It is really amazing! All children love winter. You can play snowballs with your friend or make a snowman. You can even make a snow castle. There are lots of holidays in winter such as New – Year, Christmas and St. Valentines Day. These holidays are celebrated all over the world and millions of people love such holidays for their atmosphere.

Speaking about my favourite seasons I cannot but mention spring and autumn. As for the autumn, I like it when trees become yellow and leaves begin to fall. I think it is the most beautiful period in year. It is Golden Autumn. While walking in the park I want to stand for hours to look at the nature. It is amazing time for artists. Even if you are not an artist you can draw a picture. I think every man should draw an autumn portrait for his girlfriend. As for the spring, it is really great time when flowers and buds begin to grow. The trees are covered with leaves. All the nature is awakening. It is time after winter when not only snow begins to melt but also people’s hearts. People become kinder and more cheerful.

But my favourite season is summer. It is warm and sunny weather. You can go anywhere. You can walk with your friends for the whole day. If you have money you can go to the warm countries such as Turkey or Egypt. There you can go to the beach, play volleyball, swim in a swimming pool or in the sea. There is another advantage of summer. You do not need to go to school! You have a lot of free time. As for me, I would like to sleep one’s enough. During school I have no time for training. But in summer I can train every day. I can go not only dancing but also painting, tricking, playing the guitar or just walking.

All in all, I would like to say that I love all the seasons with their advantages and disadvantages. I enjoy my life and advise to do it to other people.

Brest is a beautiful old city on the west of Belarus. It is a city and administrative center of the Brest region of the Republic of Belarus. The city is located on the right bank of the Western Boog River. Brest is a big economic and cultural center. It is also an important rail-way and auto-road node. Brest was first mentioned in 1019 as Bierascie. It is believed that ancient city's name comes either from the word "bierast" or from the word "bierasta". The city's name was changed several times during its history. At the beginning of the 18th century the city's ancient name was changed into Brest-Litowsk. New name lived till the beginning of the 20th century when its second part was discarded, and the city has become simply Brest. In Brest there are many museums, two theaters, one skating-rink, two universities, five gymnasiums and one lyceum. The fortress is the main attraction of the city. The history of this defensive construction started in 1842 when the entire city of Brest was moved 3 kilometers east, and on its place a massive fortress was set up. The fortress made a prolonged defense against Germans in 1941 and was ruined in the result of severe battles. After the war the remains of the fortress were turned into a grandiose memorial to its defenders. At present near 300,000 people live in Brest. It is a big economic center because it's situated on the border of Belarus and Poland. There are many beautiful new and old buildings. I like my native city Brest very much!
