These devices have become an important part of our life. Moreover, almost every day either a new technology is being invented or an old one is being improved. To stay up-to-date people keep buying newer items. Soon our houses and work places will look like electronic stores. Technology is all around us. First of all, we need it for work. All modern offices are equipped with computers, scanners, printers, and other useful machines. One of the most important devices today is the wi-fi modem as it provides Internet. Secondly, technologies surround us at home, in cars and everywhere. It includes TVs, radios, refrigerators, vacuum-cleaners, washing machines, CD-players, e-books, cameras and else. Perhaps, the most important thing about technological progress is that it allows us to do many things which would be impossible without it.

I would like to tell about storks.

The stork is a large, long-legged, long-necked bird with a long red or orange bill. Most storks live in warm tropical areas in Florida (the USA), South America, Africa, India and Asia. A few storks live in cold areas and migrate south in the winter. Storks live in swamps and wetlands. They use their long bills to catch fish, frogs and other small animals.

In some countries, such as Russia and Germany, people believe storks bring good luck to a family when they nest on these people's roofs. There were days when people believed that storks could bring babies.

Storks cannot sing the way most birds can. They can hiss or screech. They also clatter their bills together.

Parrots are intelligent birds. They have relatively large brains,they can learn, and they can use simple tools. Because some species have the ability to make sounds like human voices and have plumages with bright colors, many species are kept as pets. This includes some endangered and protected species.Parrots have a heavy, in relation to their size, and compact body with a large head and a short neck. Their beaks are short, strong and curved. The two parts of the beak are very strong and used to break fruits and seeds. The tongue is large and strong. Most parrots can fly, though many lost their powers of flight after they came to live on oceanic islands. The kakapo is an example.
