Each state has its own symbols. Typically, the most important of them is the flag and emblem. I love my country. So enthusiastic have a special feeling for our flag and the coat of arms. The state flag of the Russian Federation is a rectangular cloth of three equal stripes. The upper stripe white, middle – blue and lower – red. Now the meaning of these colors has changed. White color means peace, purity, innocence, perfection. Blue is the color of faith, loyalty, constancy. Red symbolizes energy, strength, blood shed for the Fatherland. White-blue-red flag was adopted as the official (state) flag of Russia just before the coronation of Nicholas II in 1896. Prior to that, the state flag of the Russian Empire was black-yellow-white flag. And white-blue-red flag since Peter I was trading the flag of Russia. Then the red color meant the statehood.
