I'd like to tell you about one of the films, I've been watching recently. Les Misérables was set in 2012 in England, despite the French title. It's a screen version of a very popular Broadway musical, which, in turn, is an adaptation of the Novel by Victor Hugo. Les Misérables was directed by Tom Hooper, a sheer crackjack, Oscar winner for the film "The King's Speech". The giant glory was given to the sensational musical by talanted cast: Hugh Jackman, Russel Crowe, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, Eddie Redmayne, Helena Bonham Carter, Sacha Baron Cohen and many others.
The action of the movie develops in the beginning of the 19th century in Paris. The runaway conviсt Jean Valjean, who was sentenced to prison, is forced to hide from a cruel justice for many years. The inspector of the Paris police Javert considers the capture of Valjean as an affair of his life. After the death of Fantine, the woman, for the fate of whose Jean Valjean was in charge, the only one person close to him is her daughter Cosette. Meanwhile the ABC friends led by Enjolras are preparing to the revolution.
I don't think that this film is for everyone, because it lasts almost 3 hours and characters are always singing. By the way, the originality of Les Misérables is in the fact that all actors are singing with their own voices and directly on the set. So we can also estimate the vocal skills of actors.
I was really delighted by Les Misérables, so I may boldly recommend it to you.

Monastyrsky Island

This is a landmark of the Dnieper shrouded in legends and secrets — Monastyrsky Island is one of the most visited places among the citizens. Here you can relax on the beach, arrange a romantic date, visit the aquarium and just walk along the shore.

The decoration of the island is the St. Nicholas Church, built in 1999. Its gilded dome is visible from different points of the city, and there is also a monument to Taras Shevchenko on the island, this monument is one of the largest in Ukraine.

Ekaterinoslavsky Boulevard

Ekaterinoslavsky Boulevard is one of the most fashionable places in Dnepropetrovsk. There are expensive boutiques, restaurants and shops here. Here you can often meet famous people of our city. However, we strongly recommend visiting this boulevard in the evening-lighting the lights of lanterns and shop windows, dipping you into a fairy tale, it will bind you to itself…

Menorah Jewish Community Center»

The Menorah Center is the largest Jewish complex in the world, its main task is to revive the Jewish community in Dnepropetrovsk and in Ukraine as a whole, as well as to support the idea of tolerance to different nationalities. The center consists of seven towers, symbolizing the temple's seven candlesticks. The walls of the Menorah are lined with Jerusalem stone specially brought for this complex, which has no analogues in the world. It houses modern educational and leisure centers, restaurants, conference halls, a museum, and the Sinai Concert Hall.

Globa Park

The perfect place to relax from the hustle and bustle of the city. Being the oldest, it was founded in the late 18th century. This is one of the best places for walking.

In the center of the park is a natural lake, inhabited by fish and waterfowl. In the warmer months, you can take a ride on a catamaran. An interesting feature is the children's railway, built in 1936.

Transfiguration Cathedr

It is believed that it was with the Transfiguration Cathedral that the active development of Ekaterinoslav, the current Dnieper, began. Initially, it was planned to build a temple that would surpass St. Peter's Basilica in Rome, but the plans were never to be realized.

Yavornytskyi Historical Museum

Near the cathedral there is a historical museum named after him. Dmitry Yavornitsky. It contains unique exhibits of world and national significance. The museum has about 250,000 antiquities, including relics of the Zaporozhye Cossacks, printed publications of the 16th and 17th centuries, a cult collection, weapons, furniture, monuments of eastern cultures, among them-the mummy of an Egyptian woman with a child.

Aerospace Museum

Our city is rightfully considered the center of the Ukrainian space industry, so the creation of an Aerospace Museum in the city is quite natural. This is the only museum of rocket and space technology in Ukraine.

The museum exhibits authentic space stations, satellites, combat rockets and many other interesting objects. Opening of the Aerospace Museum of the NCAOM. Makarov was held on June 11, 1996.

Promenade

When you come to Dnipro, you should definitely visit the famous embankment of the Dnipro River. This is one of the most beautiful places in the city, and the Embankment is considered the longest in Europe — about 30 km.

There are many different sculptures and monuments, flowers and trees, cafes and restaurants. There you can also sit on the longest 50-meter "family" bench in Ukraine .

Especially beautiful Embankment in the evening, so no one has a question where to go in Dnepropetrovsk in the evening.

The observation deck of the park. Shevchenko

From the height of the observation deck of the park. Shevchenko offers a beautiful view of the Dnieper, especially chic looks in the evening. No less interesting is the cascading fountain, its silvery streams of water give this place a special charm.

Newlyweds are especially fond of this place, wedding photo shoots take place here very often. The observation deck is a great place to go in Dnepropetrovsk for a quiet rest and contemplation of the beautiful panorama of the city.

One-man Theater

Dnepropetrovsk Theater of one actor " Cry " is unique in all respects. Just imagine that one person is an actor and director, screenwriter and makeup artist, artist and costume designer, music editor and set designer — this is Mikhail Melnik, Honored Artist of Ukraine, winner of numerous awards.

The theater is the only one in Ukraine and Europe, its opening took place in 1989. For a quarter of a century, he has not lost interest among the audience, his productions gather a full hall.

The sights of Dnepropetrovsk do not end there. There are many more of them. Come to the modern city on the Dnieper and see for yourself.
