 Now I want to tell you about my country trip. I was very happy  to have my holidays!   I spent a few days in the country where my grandfather and grandmother live. It was great. I drank milk and ate a lot of tasty food which my granny prepared for me. I have many friends in this village because I go there every holidays. We played football and tennis every day! We went to the forest to gather mushrooms. When the weather was rainy and windy I played computer games and watched TV. But  holidays were over and I returned to the city again.  I liked my country holidays very much.

Я хочу рассказать о своей загородной поездке. Я провела несколько дней  в деревне, где  живут мои дедушка и бабушка . Это было здорово. Я пила молоко и ела много вкусной пищи, которую моя бабушка готовила для меня. У меня много друзей в этой деревне, потому что я езжу туда каждые каникулы. Мы даже играли в футбол и теннис! Мы ходили в лес и собирали грибы. Когда погода была дождливой и ветреной, я играла в компьютерные игры и смотрела телевизор. Но  каникулы закончились, и я вернулась в город снова. Мне очень понравились мои загородные каникулы.

The Great Patriotic War (1941-1945) - the war between the USSR, Germany and its allies in the framework of the Second World War on the territory of the USSR and Germany. Germany attacked the USSR on June 22, 1941 with the expectation of a short military campaign, but the war dragged on for several years and ended in the complete defeat of Germany. The main reason for the outbreak of World War II was the expansionism of the Third Reich and its desire for world domination. Hitler has repeatedly stated that his main opponent is the Soviet Union. The Great Patriotic War ended in the complete defeat of Germany and its allies. The USSR not only defended its independence, but also liberated the countries of Eastern and Central Europe from Nazism.

But the victory to the Soviet people went very hard. Over 27 million people died, thousands of cities and tens of thousands of villages were destroyed. Most of the infrastructure in the territories captured by the Germans was destroyed: enterprises, bridges, railways. Severe losses were suffered by agriculture, especially livestock. The Soviet Union lost over 30% of its national wealth.

When I stopped smoking I gained a lot of weight and my doctor told me to follow a diet and to start sport or a hobby. So, I reduced sweets and joined a gym where I could exercise every morning. Unfortunately, I hurt my back on the rowing machine, so I stopped going. when I recovered from my backache, I took up jogging. At first, it was great, but then I felt dizzy and I got a pain in my leg. Stupidly, I continued running and I twisted my ankle.
