Summer flew like a comet, leaving memorable impressions. All days were wonderful, but one day was special. And I want to tell you about this wonderful day.

I was happy enough to go to the south, to the Black Sea, to the children`s recreation center "Riviera". There were a lot of trips to different interesting places, such as Gelendzhik, Anapa and many others. The most amazing tour was a trip to the Dolphinarium and to the Lotus Valley...

The weather was wonderful. The southern sun shone bright, the Black Sea surf was noisy, and the warm Anapa`s wind blew.

We took a large bus and went to the «Lotus Valley». On the way to the valley we stopped at the ostrich farm. We were met by the majestic ostriches there. The caretaker of the farm told us that ostriches needed long enclosures, more than 60 m, because they loved to run. They could run as long as they did not meet the obstruction. The ostriches hid their heads into the sand, but not from fear but to scratch it. They eat hay, cabbage and carrots. The ostrich egg is equal to the mass of sixty chicken eggs. They loved to be photographed! Then we went to the pier.

We took a motorboat and had a good time. On the way we met the weeping willows on the banks of the river and in the water we saw the water chestnuts and funny frogs. There were hovering birds in the sky. The driver of a motorboat told us an interesting story about the beautiful flowers -the lotuses. «This flower was born on the sacred Egyptian Nile River. The lotus patronized to the goddess of fertility Isida and to the god of sun Osiris. The coat of arms of ancient Egypt had five lotus flowers. This flower expresses joy and pleasure in the Egyptian hieroglyphs.

There was an Indian legend: when the great Buddha was born and started walking, the lotuses grew after his footprints. This plant was a symbol of fertility, a sign of unity between land and water». Listening to the driver’s story, we did not notice how we appeared in the Lotus Valley.

We were amused seeing these beautiful flowers. The lotus flowers were really brilliant! It was impossible to describe them. It should be seen and felt.

The next event in our tour plan was a visit to the Dolphinarium. It was pleasant to be in the cool huge basin building after the midday heat. In the middle of the pool we could see two frolicking dolphins and sea lions. In a few minutes the performance began. The sea lion appeared first. He knew how to play ball, jump from one table to another and catch the colored rings with his black nose. Then there were the graceful dolphins. They were so nimble and talented in the water. At the end of the programme one of the dolphins drew a nice picture. Another thing I had learned about was the dream of the dolphins. First their right hemisphere of the brain slept and then the left on in order not to drown. It was an amazing show!

In the evening we returned to the Riviera. Everybody was tired, but happy, because that day brought us a lot of experience, new knowledge, meetings with amazing people, unusual animals and beautiful plants. That was really the best day of my summer!

(Здесь мы убрали слово o'clock, т.к. когда мы употребляем в предложении словосочетание quater past, слово o'clock приписывать не нужно)
3. I don't have to go to school on Saturday.
(Здесь нам не нужно am. Когда мы говорим про действия, которые мы совершаем на регулярной основе, мы используем конструкцию Present Simple. Предложения в Present Simple строиться примерно так:
Подлежащее + глагол в начальной форме + дополнительные слова
И здесь нам am просто не нужно. Am/are/is обычно употребляется в Presnt Continious.)
4. He has violin lessons twice a week.
(Слово times здесь лишнее. Когда мы хотим сказать, что делаем что-то один или два раза в неделю (или месяц, год и т.д.) в Present Simple, то мы пишем once a week или twice a week. Вот зато если мы хотим сказать, что делаем что-то три, четыре или более раз в неделю (месяц, год и т.д.), то говорим three times a week или four times a week, five times a week... и т.д. и т.д. Это такое правило, и его надо просто выучить.)
