My name is Sasha.  I am 10.  I live in the city of Samara.

I like Sundays too because l don't have to go to school.

On Sundays I stay in bed in the morning longer than usual, I clean my room and spend much time with my friends. I can play computer games or visit my Granny.

Я тоже люблю воскресенья, потому что мне не нужно ходить в школу в этот день. Я не люблю воскресенья, потому что на следующий день понедельник и надо идти в школу.  По воскресеньям я остаюсь в постели утром дольше, чем обычно, я убираю свою комнату и провожу много времени с друзьями. Я могу поиграть в компьютерные игры или навестить бабушку.

My Summer Holidays. Мои летние каникулы. Мої літні канікули



Everybody loves holidays because during our holidays we can relax and have fun. You can do whatever you like, you don’t have to get up too early, and do your homework. You get enough time to travel, play your favorite sports and practice your hobbies.

Most of all I like summer holidays because they are the longest ones. Now I’d like to tell you about my summer holidays I spent in Crimea.

It was the first time I’ve been there. I’ve been dreamed to visit Crimea for many years but our family couldn’t afford this. This summer my father said we can go to the Black sea. I couldn’t believe my ears. I asked him again if he is serious, but he said he already purchased tickets on the train to Simferopol.

On 5th July we left Kiev and went to Simferopol by train. Our destination was Alushta, so from Simferopol to Alushta we went by trolley-bus. As soon as we reached Crimean Mountains, I was stunned by the scenic views that I only saw in pictures. The road looped between mountains and soon we reached the Angarsky pass. It was the highest point on our road, so там больше времени. Мои каникулы были очень насыщенными и радостными. Я получил море удовольствия. Мне кажется, что Крым — это настоящий рай на земле. Я мечтаю снова вернуться туда.

Мои літні канікули

Всі полюбляють канікули, тому що під час канікул можна відпочіти і гарно провести час. Можна робити, що хочеш, не потрібно рано вставати, і не потрібно робити домашні завдання. Можна подорожувати, займатися улюбленими видами спорту або іншими зацікавленнями.

Більш за все я полюбляю літні канікули, тому що вони найбільш тривалі. А зараз я хочу вам розповісти про літні канікули, які я провів у Криму.

Sport is an essential part of my daily life. Every morning all the year round I do my morning exercises. Almost every day I do some training. In summer I go swimming or rowing. During my summer holidays I go on hikes. I usually spend my winter holidays in the country where I ski, skate or toboggan. 

I also go in for track-and-field (athletics) events. Different sports and games are popular with my classmates. All my friends go in for different kinds of sport, such as water polo, gymnastics, horse-racing, wrestling, fencing, weightlifting, boxing, ice-hockey, speed-skating, figure-skating, football, basket-ball, volley-ball, etc. 

We have fine teams at our school and different kinds of competitions take place there. The boys of my school are crazy about football, they play football and the girls are football fans. The girls never miss a single match played by school teams. 

And now a few words about our physical training lessons. In winter our physical training lessons are held out-of-doors. We go skiing or skating. When it is cold outside P.T. lessons are held indoors, in our school gymnasium. We play different team-games such as basket-ball or volley-ball. Besides we have some training in gymnastics. 

In autumn and in spring, when the weather is warm we have P.T. lessons at our school stadium. My school has a sports day once a year in late spring. On this day we have no lessons. 

All the competitors change into their sports clothes, the spectators find their seats round the track ready to cheer. All the events take place at the same time. This day is a great success every year. Even if the weather is not warm, we enjoy ourselves just the same.
