В этой части страны находится Долина Смерти -- самое ужасное место в обеих Америках. Здесь также есть Гранд-Каньон,который миллионы лет назад проделала река Колорадо. В некоторых местах его глубина достигает 6 километров. Далее расположились высокие вершины Скалистых гор,пробегающих от Канады до Мексики. По другую сторону от них -- Великие равнины,где протекает могущественная Миссисипи. Другая горная цепь,Аппалачи,спускается по восточной части Соединённых Штатов. США граничит с Канадой на севере и с Мексикой на юге.
