The action takes place on Earth during the Ice Age. The saber-toothed squirrel Skrat buries his only acorn in the ground in order to stock up, as a result of which he causes the glacier to descend and almost loses his life. After the Scrat is almost crushed by a huge number of animals that migrate to warmer climes, fleeing from the frost. Throughout the film, parallel to the main storyline is the storyline of Scrat, during which he constantly loses his precious acorn and overcomes ridiculous obstacles to regain possession of it.
