У каждой степени два варианта. Бывает так, что один из них реже используется, а  потому может считаться некорректным, но, если перепутаешь, за ошибку это не считается. Единственное, носитель языка может не сразу понять.

до начала римского завоевания Британии на территории Кардиффа существовало поселение силуров (50-е года нашей эры). Оставление Британии римлянами произошло в конце четвертого, начале пятого веков нашей эры, то есть на тот момент могли разговаривать и на древнеримском языке. Затем было завоевание данного города нормандцами, а с 1081 года он уже стал английским городом, но валлийские правители также приняли участие в его истории.
